You couldn't care less, could you?

 IT'S HALF TERM!! I need the break xD

So, it's been a week since I last blogged, and once again, I went to the city centre with Jess, and I stayed round hers afterwards. We watched this week's episode of Doctor Who, immediately followed by Vampires of Venice because she had Sky+'d it, and I still hadn't got round to watching it. Vampires of Venice was an alright episode, but I was a little disappointed at how they weren't even vampires. Now, I'm not a fan of vampires, but I honestly thought they would actually be vampires. But no. They're fish. Which is just ... silly. But overall, the episode was enjoyable.

I'm going to write another blog in a minute, concentrating more on our time up the city, because there are quite a few incidents I want to share with you, but I don't want everything to clash together like they normally do. So I'm spreading it out, working backwards. This is the "sleepover" part.

After watching Doctor Who, we watched Britain's Got Talent (on Sky+, because we missed it watching Doctor Who), and honestly, Jess and I are both disgusted that some of the people got through. Namely, the Irish guy with the green beard, the orange cruise entertainer, the Lady Gaga drag queen, and the rest of that WTF group. Our faces when the judges said they'd through were identical - jaws on the floor, eyes bulging, scrunched up noses. We're horrified, and seriously questioning the judges' sanity. Are you?

Although, that being said, they also put through a lot of amazing acts, like Connected, Chloe Hickinbottom, Tobias Mead, Olivia whatsherface, The Arrangement, etc., etc.

ANYWAY, after BGT, we watched the results of Eurovision, which I hold no interest in. We came last, at ten points, while Germany were on two-hundred and something. We were third from last for a while, until Ireland overtook us. Then we were the penultimate country for quite a long time ... but then someone gave Belarus twelve points, and they overtook us. And we sat there patiently in last place, waiting for some love that we never received. Go us! Heh.

Then, out of boredom, we watched Lee Evans. He's really annoying, but he can be funny at times, and he sweats like crazy. I love how he always has a towel on stage with him, to wipe away the sweat. Poor fella. We fell asleep half-way through one of his old live shows, but Jess woke up and turned it off. I was sleeping on a two-seater sofa, all scrunched up. And yet I was comfy xD

And that's about it. We couldn't do much else, because of the rain. But you couldn't care less, could you? You probably really don't care. Because this is one of the most boring blogs ever, right? I know xD

I'm just going to remove and add things onto my to-do list, rather than crossing them off, because it saves space, and it makes more sense. Here we go, not a lot of improvement:

Awful TV Shows

Throughout school, I had plenty of ideas buzzing around my head for a blog, but now that I've come to write it, I completely forgot all of those ideas. I remember there was something to do with books, characters, TV shows, aaaand n00bs. But I've forgotten exactly what I was going to say about them. My memory sucks. So, I'll just be writing whatever ideas I can remember.

Something I feel I must share with you is my disappointment of Tracy Beaker Returns. Now, like nearly every English girl, I used to love Tracy Beaker when I was younger. TB is a CBBC show about a girl, Tracy, who lives in a foster home with a bunch of other children, and she's a troublemaker. It was pretty good. The writing was hilarious, the acting was great, and the energy and spirit within all of the characters - kids and adults alike - was fantastic. Today, I watched Tracy Beaker Returns, a show on CBBC about Tracy coming back to work at the foster home. It sucked. The writing was dull and unrealistic, the new kids can't act to save their lives, and all the characters were so lifeless. The most exciting thing that happened in the episode was Tracy smashing a bowl onto the floor while telling Mike loudly, "I quit!" She wasn't even shouting, which is a Tracy Beaker tradition. Even when one of the girls ended her friendship with another girl, it was for a pathetic reason and she didn't even look angry. It was just a "You know what? I don't want to be friends with you any more." in a monotone voice, before leaving the room. That is not Tracy Beaker! Tracy Beaker is meant to be full of screams, moody teenagers and overexcited kids, with lots of things breaking and argues going on all over the place. It was too calm! I hated it. If you've watched it, what did you think of it?

And, while on the topic of bad TV shows, what the HELL is up with In the Midnight Garden? It's a CBeebies show, and my nan refuses to put it on when my baby cousin is round because it's so crap. I hate it when they make shows with "bleeblobmeerudfvndiuhndfjni" instead of actual words. You either make the characters speak proper English (unless it's a foreign show, but you wouldn't find those on CBeebies xD), or they don't speak at all. Making them speak in gibberish* will not help the kids' talking abilities. So ... yeah. Idiots.

So, what shows have you watched that are absolutely awful? What was the writing like? And the acting? Why didn't you enjoy it? Did the idea just not interest you, or was it the quality of the show that made you dislike it? Answer in the comments! Or as a blog. I'm not fussed ^.^

I'm going to try and do it. The BEDA thing. It won't be easy, I know that much, but I can try, right? And I know I'm late... so it's BAEDA - Blog Almost Every Day in April. If I manage to blog every day from now up to the end of April, I will consider BAEDA achieved (:

So, first episode of Doctor Who was on last night. It was absolutely fantastic; really enjoyable, really amusing, really interesting. Matt Smith and Karen Gillan are amazing - and that's saying something, because I haven't properly liked a sidekick since Rose (Martha was too "meh", and Catherine Tate (Donna) can't act to save her life). AND Matt Smith had big shoes to fill, because David Tennant was THE Doctor. Everyone loved him. Although I don't think Matt Smith will be better than David Tennant, I do think he will be close. Yes, yes I do have a high opinion of Mr. Matt Smith.

In honour of the new series, I rewatched the first episode on BBC iPlayer and I managed to get plenty of stills. And, alas, a series of icons were born! It's pretty basic stuff, but I kind of like them :3


They didn't take me very long, I'll admit. Just very basic stuff. But they're the best icons I've ever made, so I'm not complaining! Haha. Karen Gillan's eyes are really amazing. If you get the chance, watch 'The Eleventh Hour' on BBC iPlayer and pause it when she widens her eyes. They're fantastic!



I think that's all I've got to say today. Hm... Yeah, I think that's it.
