I'm gonna try and get into the habit of blogging at least every other day. I was going to blog about my first day back at school (today) but it was so boring and uneventful. Of course, I suppose it could have been more interesting if I hadn't only gotten two hours of sleep last night. Nothing is interesting when I'm exhausted.
Here's a short story I wrote months ago about Remus Lupin and the Marauders experiencing another full moon. For those unfamiliar with the Harry Potter series, Remus Lupin is a werewolf. He (Moony; Harry's 3rd Year DADA teacher), James Potter (Prongs; Harry's father), Sirius Black (Padfoot; Harry's Godfather), and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail) were best friends at Hogwarts and they called themselves the Marauders. When Remus' friends found out about his being a werewolf, they started researching animagi. In their Fifth Year, they finally succeeded in (illegally) turning themselves into animagi (people who can change into a specific creature at will) so they could accompany Remus during the full moon.
Without any further ado, I give you, Another Full Moon:

Phone Conversations
All phone conversations, for me, are as awkward as hell. No matter who it's with - be it my family, my closest friends, or random strangers who call the wrong number - it's always an awkward experience for me. I like talking face-to-face, or typing/texting. I don't even mind video chats, because I can see the person. For some reason, and I have no idea why, phone conversations and I just don't get along. Take this, for example... Earlier, my friend Owen called me. It went like this.
S: Uhh, hi?
O: Hi. I was wondering if you want to come out tomorrow.
S: Uhh, uhm, uhh... *awkward silence* No, no, I can't. I, uh, have to babysit my baby cousin tomorrow.
O: Oh. I was thinking of going to *my town* tomorrow ... I was meant to be going with Kelly and a bunch of other people, but Kelly said she can't go. So now I have no one to go with.
S: Er ... oh. I'm sorry. As I said, uh, I have to uhm help my nan babysit my cousin 'cos my mum's at work .... and nan can't look after him by herself ... And my grandad's fishing.*
O: Oh, okay. *very awkward, very long silence*
S: *runs hand through hair and has an insane internal monologue*
O: Could I come to yours tomorrow, then? And help look after your baby cousin?
S: *hesitation* Errr... no, I don't think so. I have to, like, pack and everything, too, 'cos I go on holiday on Friday-
O: Yeah, I remember you talking about that.
S: Yeah, well ... anyway ... I don't think you can come round. Sorry.
O: That's fine. I'm going to be really bored tomorrow.
S: ... Read a book.
O: Read a book?
S: Yeah, you might, uhm, enjoy it? *is thinking END THIS CONVERSATION, OWEN, PLEASE!*
O: Like that'll happen.
S: Whatever. *awkward silence lasts several minutes, I'm dying*
O: Right, well *I'm thinking THANK YOU* ... I'll probably see you some other time, yeah?
S: *rushed, desperate* Yeah. Well, see ya!
O: See- *I hang up and hyperventilate*
Okay, so many I didn't hyperventilate, but I'm always so relieved when a phone conversation ends. Even if it's a nice, pleasant conversation. I just can't stand it.
I got my baby cousin, who turns two years old next month, to say Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Hermon Granger. Yes. I did, indeed. I said to my mum not long ago that I was going to get him saying 'Harry Potter' by the end of the summer, and I've already done that, and it was so easy. I woke up to him roaring and running into my room, and I picked him up onto my bed. He pointed at my giant Doctor Who poster, and I said "That's Doctor Who."
He then said "Docta Whoooooooooooooooo." I squealed, kissed him, and then decided to test him.
"What about Harry Potter? Can you say Harry Potter?"
"Harry Potterrr."
My mum, who was down the hall, heard and was really happy, as was I. I'm still ecstatic about it. Later on, we were trying him with different Harry Potter character names, and he refused to say any of them.
"Can you say Hermione Granger?" my mum asked. A bit ambitious, I thought, and I told her that - however, I ate my words when moments later, he said:
"Hermon Grrranga!" If you've seen A Very Potter Sequel, you'll understand why I laughed at this. I'd be proud if he said anything resembling Hermione Granger, but the fact he called her Hermon made me so freaking happy.
I'm so proud of my little man (:
* I always feel like I have to explain myself when I'm on the phone. Again, not a clue why.

I'M FREAKING GOING TO HOGWARTS!
And no, I am not joking. I am seriously, honestly, truly going to Hogwarts. And Merlin, I'm so psyched about it.
No, I'm not going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. There's no way on Earth I'd be able to afford that. And no, I'm not going to Kings Cross (well, we might have to in order to get there - I know we're taking the train). I'm going to Alnwick.
You may or may not be confused right now. I don't blame you.
Alnwick is a small town near Scotland, home to Alnwick castle. That castle, that glorious castle, is known by many who do not know that they know of it. You see it often enough if you're anything like me, in pictures and on screen.
Yes. Alnwick is the castle they used for the exterior design of Hogwarts! They digitally added bigger towers, sure, but still, it's HOGWARTS, and I'm going there! Dreams do come true.
I'm going from the sixth to the tenth of August, which is in seventeen days, and I'm staying, like, REALLY close to the castle. We're probably going to spend most of our time there, and Mum will literally have to drag me out of that place at the end of the day. Heh.
And considering this is my first holiday in, like, three years, I'm even MORE excited to be getting away from this place for a few days XD
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Oh, and also, I'm going to try and sweet talk my mum into letting me go to John Green's evening gathering thing on the 14th (the freaking Sons of Admirals are going to be there, too!) in London. I can only hope she'll let me.
And yes, I did just post this to brag. Squeee ^.^

Imma Be a Busy Bumble Bee.
Title? Inspired by the very annoying "Imma Be" by Black Eyed Peas.
Time: 9:01pm.
This is going to be a really quick blog, because I'm really short on time. I stayed downstairs, talking with my family while waiting to hear something from the hospital. It took my nan three calls before she got through to the ICU at the hospital, and the operation had only just finished. However, from what the nurse can tell, he's alright. We have to call again in the morning because they'll be able to check him over properly by then.
So, from seven, I've been catching up, writing my Dribble Drabble, and stuff ... I have to do an English project, due for tomorrow*, and I'm currently alternating between finding pictures to write about and writing up this blog. Ah, last-minute stress. Thank Merlin it's English - any other subject, and I'd be screwed. But words come to me pretty easily, so that's alright**. I have, currently, forty-five minutes.
My eyes are still really heavy and achy, my inspiration has come back a little bit (my dribble drabble was really easy to write), and my fanfiction readers are probably getting ready to start an angry mob. I haven't updated two of my collabs in nearly a week. In my defense, it's the 50th piece for both of them, and I want to post it at the same time, and I've been re-writing and editing one of them constantly, because I love the plot but don't like the words. I'll explain it to them when I post. Hopefully, they'll understand. I just want to make the big 50 special. Also, I'm having trouble making a fluffy, family friendly fic about a canon pairing that everyone loves. Because some people have said they find my slash/T-rated stuff disturbing to read, so I want to make something that everyone will enjoy. I'm thinking of doing Molly/Arthur, but I need to get an idea for them first. Perhaps, if that plan doesn't make it, I could do James/Lily fluff. Everyone loves J/L. How could they not?
I haven't had time to catch up on blogs, either, because I've been so caught up lately. I have, like, seven new blogs in my dashboard thing, waiting to be read, from yesterday and today. And I need to watch the last three episodes of Neighbours online. And find time to complete these bl'min FF things, and continue to write Dribble Drabble. I know I'm complaining about doing what I love again, but having to do so much in such short time is so hard***. And to think I was considering teaching myself German, and start learning the guitar again. I don't have time! O_O
Time: 9:25pm.
I really need to focus on this homework, now, so I'm going to leave it there. Keep blogging!
*It was set weeks and weeks ago, but because it was so far back in my planner, I didn't look that far back, and completely forgot about it until yesterday.
**Says the girl who took two weeks of idea-squeezing to think of an idea for her Christmas story. And then another week to write and edit it (Although once I got going, I finished it quickly... and then put off editing it, which is why it took so long xD).
***I laughed as I wrote that. Inside joke with my friends and a girl from my Science class. Saying "so hard" reminded me of it. Haha. Don't ask.
