Right. So. The last thing I should be doing right now is blogging. I have a killer headache, like the one I had back in October(or was it November?). The one that lasted two and a half weeks? Yeah. It's like that. I convinced my mum to let me stay off school yesterday and my nan convinced her to let me have today off, too. I feel like crap, I can't look at the screen for longer than a couple of minutes at a time, and I hate it. I don't know how I managed to write that post about Darren yesterday but let me tell you, it took a very long time.
I realised I hadn't actually blogged about how things were going, so I decided I should tell you while waiting for the first episode of Gossip Girl to load.
The Biology exam was okay. I was really nervous beforehand. I couldn't stop shaking and I felt like I wanted to throw up, but I stomached it and sat the exam and all was fine and dandy. I'm reluctant to say that I think I've possibly scraped a B, just in case I completely fail it, but that's what I'm hoping for -- if I get a B or higher, I'll be happy.
On Saturday, my friend Shannon turned fourteen. She was my best friend from birth until the age of eleven and it was the first time I'd been round her house in two years -- it was scarily nostalgic. Abby, Alex and Jess came round my house at eleven and we went to Shannon's at twelve. From there, we caught a bus to the cinema where we watched the third Narnia movie in 3D. I love Narnia.
It was kind of suffocating because there were seven other girls and I'm just not comfortable around females. I'm comfortable around guys, most of my friends are guys, I can be happy around guys. With girls, there's too many high-heels and skirts and too much make-up and gossip. It's disgusting. Nauseating. Awful. I hate it. However, I suffered the grueling task of hanging out with those seven girls and lived to tell the tale.
We then came back to town where we separated briefly, Abby, Alex, Jess and I returning to my house for a few hours while the others went to Shannon's. At seven, we went back to Shannon's, where we ate dinner and played Just Dance on the Wii for three hours until it was time to leave. Abby and Alex got picked up from my house and Jess stayed the night. Watching over the footage I took from that night, we found one clip in particular too hilarious not to share with the world. Abby, making a complete fool of herself.
And that's that, really. There is, naturally, other stuff going on in my life right now. It is, however, too personal to share. A lot of matters aren't even my stories to tell and I doubt my friends would be too happy if I blogged about it online.
Now, before my head splits open, I'm going to go. Gossip Girl has finished loading so I'm going to go and watch that. See you whenever I'm better, readers!

Such Little Time
I am fully aware that I haven't blogged in an entire month, but I'm not going to apologise for it, because it genuinely isn't my fault. For the past three and a half weeks (since Friday 9th), I've been stuck in my bedroom with the lights off and (new, black, thick) curtains drawn, unable to do anything but watch movies and sleep. I only left my room to get more water, eat, and go to the loo.
Because I've had the worst migraine ever.
I was up crying with my mum one night during the first week, and a little while later, I actually went into A+E. That's how bad it was. The slightest noise or sliver of light made my hands instinctively fly up to cover my eyes and let out a whimper of pain. It was awful. Eventually, I started spending a few minutes on the computer, but I couldn't read more than a couple of sentences at a time, and I had to set it aside every ten minutes. Therefore, I wasn't up for being on the interwebs, let alone writing a blog.
It's been gradually easing, and it's nearly completely gone now, but having been sheltered from noise/light for so long, I'm still rather sensitive towards it. I've missed two weeks of school, and this week is half-term, but I'll be going to back on Monday.
But that's not the only thing I'm doing on Monday. Throughout November, I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo. For those of you who don't know, that stands for National Novel Writing Month. As it sounds, you have to write a novel in one month. Specifically, a novel with at least 50,000 words in it. Now, I'm not actually doing that ... I'm doing the NaNoWriMo Young Writers' Project, which is for people up to the age of seventeen who don't feel capable of doing the entire 50k. Unlike the original site, you can set your own goal -- I'm going for 25,000 words. So you probably won't be hearing much from me throughout November, either. AND in December, I'm going to be editing, studying, AND reading my friends' novels.
But I'll try to blog as much as I can.
I'm really worried about my Book Count. I know it's just a fun challenge that I've been partaking in all year, but I still have to read eight books before 31st December, at 11:59pm. I can almost hear you now: "What are you on about? You still have two months!" But with November pretty much cramped, and December I'm pretty busy, I don't know how many books I'll manage to read. (I will, however, be counting my friends' novels towards it). But even more importantly than my Book Count, is my English teacher's. He wants everyone in our class to read ten books before the end of term. That means that the few days before the New Year (which is when I generally get a lot of reading done) won't count towards his ... manga doesn't count in his mind, and 10 poems can equal "one book" in our book logs -- but I still don't know how I'm going to manage.
I'm thinking that maybe I'll let him know about NaNoWriMo, and see if he'll let me read a lower book count/let my friends' novels count towards it.
Anyway, I have to go and eat dinner now. I have another blog in the works that I started while I was ill (wrote about three paragraphs before it got too much), and I'll probably finish that while procrastinating next month. Heh.

The Side Effects of Being Ill.
I bring this to you, because surprise surprise, I'm ill.
Yeah.
And I'm talking to nobody, because I have no followers. Whoop. Imma loner.
Anyway ...
The Side Effects of Being Ill:
Migraine: Not being able to read, use the laptop, or listen to music without stopping every few minutes to recover. Flinching at sudden noises. Having to stay in darkness, because light hurts. Sleeping a lot, because that's supposed to help fix it. Cupping ears with hands to block out noise, as if that will make the headache leave.
Sore throat: Eating only soft/liquid-y things, like soup, yoghurts, bread, scrambled eggs. Saying "ow"/gritting teeth/wincing/clenching fists/groaning every other time you swallow/hiccup/gasp/etc.. Not being able to raise your voice, because speaking loudly hurts.
Barking cough: Waking up in the middle of the night, just to have a coughing fit. Pains in chest. Making aforementioned sore throat worse.
Sniffles: Quick disappearance of tissues. Annoying others around you with sniffling noises. Annoying yourself with that constant runny nose feeling.
(Now, I would include 'Ear infection', but since I'm not entirely sure what I have is an ear infection, or whether it's just my ear being freaky, I'll just post my side effects of a possible ear infection).
My possible ear infection: Noises sounding robotic/techno/tinny/computerised through one ear, while other ear is normal. Saying "Whoa, that sounds weird" when hearing a new noise through freaky ear. Ear feels blocked. When blocking one ear, everything sounds normal (works with both ears), yet when both ears are open, they don't co-operate and the weird noise effect returns.
Not going to school: Watching one and a half seasons (4&halfof5) of Charmed on DVD. Finishing one book, starting another (despite head hurting). Incredible boredom. Missing friends. Increasing insanity. Laziness.

As you can see, being ill is not fun.
Is there anything else Merlin would like to throw at me?
Roar.
-.-
And now, my head feels like it's splitting, so I'm going to turn the laptop off now.
Over and out.
Yeah.
